A nice day with my customer for a Shanghai city tour, went to JinAn temple, Zhujiajiao water town,the Bund and French concession area. A beautiful day!! 

Shanghai city tour at Wukang apartment, previously it was also called Normandy Apartments located in the French concession area. It is a good place for walking especially for lovers. 

Our clients from Australia enjoyed a pleasant Shanghai to Zhujiajiao tour with me. I was as their private guide and driver. A new SUV with large space offers a wonderful ride to our 4 clients.
 
Clients arrived at shanghai by a cruiser at 8am, docked at shanghai port international cruise terminal. I directly picked them up at the port. We headed to Zhujiajiao . It is about 60km from port to Zhujiajiao. Since it was a public national holiday with rainy weather, we took 2 hours driving to arrive Zhujiajiao. Zhujiajiao ancient town present us a different kind of scenery of eastern water town in frog and rain. Clients said they never experienced such beautiful exotic culture atmosphere in Australia.  
 
Zhujiajiao is an ancient water town well-known throughout the country, with a history of more than 1700 years. Covering an area of 47 square kilometers, the little fan-shaped town glimmers like a bright pearl in the landscape of lakes and mountains.
 
Endowed with another elegant name - 'Pearl Stream' - the little town is the best-preserved among the four ancient towns in Shanghai. Unique old bridges across bubbling streams, small rivers shaded by willow trees, and houses with courtyards attached all transport people who have been living amidst the bustle and hustle of the modern big city to a brand-new world full of antiquity, leisure and tranquility.
 
Two spots of Zhujiajiao attracted us most, one is It's said to be the best preserved Qing post office in China, and among its exhibits you'll find antique post cards of old Shanghai and letters written on bamboo.
 
Another one is Tongtianhe Chinese Pharmacy, the largest one in Zhujiajiao dating from the late Qing dynasty. For centuries this pharmacy has established its fame among the locals as it has adhered to the principle of ‘Healing the Pain & Saving the Life’ based on traditional Chinese ethics and medical culture.
 
After 5 hours wandering at Zhujiajiao ancient town, we were back to port, as clients will stay at cruiser overnight and begin next journey in the another day.
